Best Beauty & Hair Looks from the 2015 Emmy Awards

The Los Angeles weather was pretty toasty at the 2015 Emmy Awards on Sunday Sept. 20, but the stars kept it cool without a hair out of place. Some of television’s most recognized faces looked gorgeous on the red carpet and they should thank their glam squad (makeup artist and hairstylist) for that- because the face beat and hair for most was on point. There were a lot of sleek bobs, beachy waves, messy up-dos, a few chignons, some daring red lips, and a whole lot of glam!

During awards night, some of you may find yourself staring at the television, making faces at the usual awkward outfits, or listening to celebrities promote their products, TV shows, or their new diet . Whatever the case, we usually endure  this pain for one reason only- to see what everyone will be wearing. Well, today we are going to focus on the hair and make-up looks that also caught our attention.

It was refreshing to see a lot of women exude old Hollywood glamour. Kerry Washington (from ABC’s hit show Scandal) who was nominated for the lead actress category graced the red carpet in a faux bob, long lashes, and rosy lips. Eat your heart out Mr. President!

There were quite a few red carpet appearances that had us whispering , ” Yes, she looks good! “.  Sofia Vergara, Taraji P. Henson, Sarah Hyland, Regina King and many more looked stunning!

Take a look below at some of the best hair and makeup nominees that made us do a double take:

Game of Thrones Sophie Turner’s beautiful blue eyes were emphasized with a strong black liner and eyelashes. Finished with a matte beige rose from Chanel.

This fresh and simple look complimented her red mane. The hair was flat ironed and sprayed with Sexy Hair Smooth and Seal Anti Frizz and Shine Spray  for humidity and shine.

Teyonah Parris mane event was just lovely and beautiful. It’s great to see more women of color embracing their natural hair texture. She glowed in faux lashes, black eyeliner, and neutral colored lips. I can’t stop staring at her hair though! It’s BEAUTIFUL!

Taraji P. Henson’s angled bob was one of my favorite hairstyles of the night. Her lips was a mix of L’Oréal Colour Riche Lipcolour in Brazil Nut and Golden Splendor. The woman does not age-45 sure looks good on you!  Cookie, you are one heck of a woman.

Sofia Vergara kept it simple by wearing COVERGIRL makeup with her signature eye lash extensions and lips by Covergirl Outlast Longwear Lipstick in Amazing Auburn! Finished by her sleek and semi-wavy hair.

Another favorite look of the night- Sarah Hyland’s beach wave bob was nicely done. Her stylist used L’Oreal Paris hair products. Her makeup was done using Dior, IT Cosmetics, and St. Tropez tanning products.

Kerry Washington rocked the red carpet in an elegant highlighted faux bob and gorgeous faux lashes. Her flawless makeup was done with all Neutrogena cosmetics.

Fashion stylist to the stars, June Ambrose looked regal in a semi wavy up-do and red lips. Her make-up, two words- on point.

Ariel Winter channeled the old Hollywood glamour with nice voluminous waves, hair was styled using Garnier products. She looked like a young Elizabeth Taylor.

The winner for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie, Regina King, looked beautiful. The side swoop hairstyle and minimal makeup really brought out her gorgeous brown eyes. Congrats Regina!

Top Chef star, Padma Lakshmi, shined on the red carpet with sleek straight hair parted in the middle, dark eye makeup, faux lashes, and red lips. The 45 year-old mother of 1 kept it simple and radiant.
