Happy Holidays to you and your family! So much has already happened in 2016, and it’s not even over yet. I did some more traveling than normal by visiting places like Atlanta & Jamaica, made some new memories, and then there are the ones I wish never existed, such as painfully enduring the loss of my hero, my father. I am most grateful for the chance to celebrate yet another birthday (Dec 2) alongside my twin brother Alex.
Despite the setbacks, God is still good. Here are some of the photos from my annual birthday photo shoot. It is the only time of year where I get my makeup professionally done. I made it a point to take care of myself more this year (emotionally & physically), and the outcome is so refreshing.
This outfit was put together at the last minute. I just grab the shorts and shirt and hoped it worked out for the shoot, the orange belt adds a nice touch of color to complete the look. I first saw this shirt on my favorite style blogger, Style Pantry and I just had to have it. What makes this outfit extra special to me is that these shorts were designed by my mother. She took my old pair of jeans, cut them to the length I wanted and then I added the ripped jeans effect to give it some style.
Did I mention my mother use to be a seamstress? Growing up she designed all of our school uniforms from scratch. Looks like she still has the magic touch!
Wishing you all love, peace, and light. God bless.
